Before You Can Operate: Lessons Learned from Other States on Operational Pitfalls to Avoid

New cannabis license holders must address numerous factors before establishing a successful cannabis business. This session will cover lessons learned from other states regarding pitfalls to avoid, such as failing to meet all Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements for compliance or being unprepared for on-site audits by regulators.  This session will also cover common issues to watch out for as a new business owner moves towards becoming operational, including local land use restrictions, business planning, financial considerations, site troubleshooting and adapting, and comprehensive business strategies for your business type and location. The Dentons Kentucky Cannabis Team will provide a comprehensive checklist of considerations and SOPs necessary before commencing cannabis business operations in Kentucky.
