Since 2013, Richard has represented a variety of cannabis related businesses and investors, working at national and global law firms. Richard represented the Texas Cannabis Industry Association, served as a board member for a hemp cannabinoid bio-pharmaceutical company and named a top 250 legal expert in cannabis by Databird Research Journal. Richard teaches cannabis law as an adjunct at UNT School of Law.

Prior to starting his company, he was the Texas market leader of transaction advisory services groups for two Top 50 consulting firms, and he also previously led a corporate development team at a publicly traded company. Dan has over 15 years of experience providing buy-side and sell-side due diligence for acquisitions and divestitures. He started his career in audit at a Big 4 accounting firm.
