Daniel is an experienced CPA professional whose practice serves national and international clients providing accounting, finance, audit and tax advisory services. Both of Daniel’s parents are CPAs and he has been working in the family’s accounting firm since an early age. This led him to not only develop a deep understanding of every aspect of accounting but also made him agile in navigating the concerns of a business owner when it comes to balancing management, company growth and compliance.
While working full-time in accounting and tax, Daniel graduated with his Bachelors in Finance and Masters in Accounting from Florida International University. In doing so, he was able to leverage both real world and classroom learning to develop a high level of practical knowledge. He obtained his CPA license shortly thereafter.
Daniel’s first experience with cannabis came in 2017. After battling with some medical issues, he was prescribed various medications to try to get his symptoms under control. Conventional care, however, left him feeling worse. Being health minded, he sought out natural alternatives, which led to obtaining his medical marijuana card in the State of Florida. The benefits were life-changing. This began to foster a curiosity and passion for everything cannabis, especially cannabis accounting and tax laws. Combining his first-hand experience with the benefits of cannabis and life-long involvement in accounting and tax, Daniel has the professional skills and drive needed to serve the uniquely challenging and ever-changing cannabis industry.
