Previously, Berekk spent time in developing domestic and international markets for Kahala Brands, a conglomerate of over fifteen QSR franchises including Cold Stone Creamery and Blimpie Subs. Kahala Brands at the time has over 3,000 retail locations in over a dozen countries. This eventually led to working for Revamp Corporation in Tokyo, Japan. At the time, Revamp owned the Master Franchise rights for Cold Stone Creamery, Auntie Anne’s Pretzels and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. While there, Berekk looked after international relationships between US companies looking to enter the Japanese market and facilitated development for all three concepts.
